Full 1.2 Livestream Summary
Hi, this is a little late and there's already official tweets & videos out there but I wanted to make one with a full summary of everything mentioned in the livestream via text post. Sorry for some of the bad screenshot quality, I watched a recording of the livestream. Let me know if something like this already exists or if you spot an error!
Event Duration: January 23, 2025 (Server Launch) - February 25, 2025, 12:49:59 (UTC-7)
Brand new map: Firework Isles
New main storyline and event with quests and mini-games. Featured attractions: Whirl-A-Pony, Fireworks Carriage (can take group photos), Scenic Whimcycle Route, Fireworks Dance Party (can customize dance steps and join in group recordings)
Fiery Glow: New Ability Outfit, obtainable through the new main story update.
Its ability is used to collect Blastblooms from the new area, which can be mixed with other materials to create fireworks. You can launch these fireworks from certain stations with this outfit ability. There will also be portable fireworks you can buy from NPCs that can be used outside of the new area freely.
New Boss: The Dark Bouquet
Its mechanisms requires the ability from the new Fiery Glow outfit
Event: New Horizons Day
Features new hot air balloon route, Whim Balloons (event version of Whimstars) and mini-games
Resonance Banner A
Stardust Flare: Ability makes clusters of fireworks follow you
Midnight Vigil: Ability makes Floofs that you've groomed follow you (up to 5)
Pull milestone rewards unique set of dance steps which certain NPCs will react to differently when using them in camera mode
Resonance Banner B
Dance Til Dawn: Gliding ability outfit, you can change directions more freely while gliding in this outfit and it can be used in the new map area
Eternal Bond: Ability plays a set of animations where she strikes several poses with special effects
Pull milestone rewards is a balloon photo prop for the overworld
Not included in the livestream but announced through social media, two banners for upcoming 4-star outfits
Event: New Bloom Festival
Linlang themed event. A ship from Linlang will be docked near Florawish and festive firecrackers scattered along the roads. You can release flower lanterns into the rivers. Mini-games include photography event & tangram puzzles along with an event story
Endless Longing: Four star ability outfit that can be obtained through playing the event, the ability lets you play the pipa instrument.
Luminous Bloom: STORE
Overworld prop that lets you pose while floating down the river
New Year's Dawn: STORE
Four Star Ability Outfit that lets you play the dizi (flute) instrument.
New Momo Cloak: STORE
Lets Momo play the souna
Whim Pedals Fireworks: STORE
Whimcycle with firework effects, can be summoned anywhere
Cloudborne Dreams: STORE
Umbrella Only. It changes appearance based on the weather. Can be opened or closed.
New Bloom Blessing: STORE
Base outfit and its evolution can be purchased with a total of 2 Diamonds if you have the monthly pass active.
Developer's Talk
Mobile optimizations still in progress
Purification orb's auto target improved & added two new Whim Fragrances
Added effects to shadow when floating to better see landing point (can be turned off)
Optimized the beginner's tutorial
Changed area restrictions for Whimcycles and improved controls. Whimcycles also will no longer be lost if you drown in water
Photo mode can be used while using the Shrinking Outfit. New interactions with Momo while in this mode under development
Also under development: abilities being bound to outfits, vertical photo mode, video recording, multiplayer mode
New Store: Heartfelt Gifts, in the next 3 patches there will be free outfits obtainable through this store. 3 outfits will be released per patch for a total of 9!! free outfits
