I finished The Hidden Hindu series overnight

And here's my take on it.

The plot was okayish to good, narration was mediocre at best and there were some plot holes and historical/mythological inaccuracies.

Would not suggest it to beginners foraying into Hindu mythology as the books look more like a collection of urban legends than proper historical and mythological researched creations.

I am waiting for the author to release the next in line books to the series solely because I want to watch the endgame between Nagendra and Om (who is apparently Kalki) many years into the future.

The series IMHO still has a lot of potential only if:

  1. The universe is better developed.
  2. The narration style has more layers (I felt it was written by some middle schooler).
  3. The science fiction part really has some elements of science and fiction rather than urban legends and catering to popular beliefs.

Score: 5/10 maybe. I'm no Shakespeare though :)
