IUD side effects

Hi yall I had my mirena iud inserted yesterday around 2 pm and have had horrible cramping. Which Ik is normal but has anyone else experienced cramping only when they lay on their side? last night I was up all night with cramps and Im a side sleeper so I would just switch from side to side trying to get comfortable but nothing helped. Through out the day I’ve had some cramping here or there but then I noticed while i was laying down just now when I’m laying on my back I don’t have any but the second I roll on my side they start back up. Has any one else noticed this? could it just my body adjusting to the iud shifting as I’m on my side?
