Keep getting disconnected when I try to call the IRS

Trying to call IRS today to talk about my payment plan and set up a time to come in in person and drop off a late return.

When I was placed on hold, the recording told me that I would have about a 30-60 minute wait to speak to a representative. Then, after being on hold for about 55 minutes, it beeped and disconnected me. I called back, it told me 30-60 minute wait again, and then after holding for 35 minutes it disconnected me again.

Now I am on hold for the 3rd time and even if it doesn't disconnect me, I'm not sure if I will get through before they close for the day. Do you know if this problem is system wide, maybe due to things that Musk/Trump have cut?
