Counting sodium

My partner has very bad health anxiety, hypochondriac, she gets scared of things all the time and usually they resolve or rotate to other things. Recently I've become concerned because it's starting to affect her eating habits. The fear she is on right now is a heart attack, to prevent this she's started looking at calories which was very worrying to me she also won't eat sometimes because she's so scared even if she's hungry or even if she hasn't eaten all day. We have come to a solution of just eating better but that's not where it ends. While she looked at the calories she also saw the sodium levels of things and this is where I need help. She checks and counts the sodium of the foods and is so stressed about exceeding the limit she looked up I think it was 2000 or something I'm not sure. I don't have healthy anxiety, I want to help her and console her but I really don't know how. Is counting sodium something people do? Is this the right place to post this?
