Non-sugar related pros of living with GD

My husband travels a LOT for work. Like 6 days at home per month. I used to be a helpless blob sulking in second/third trimester twin pregnancy. In pain. Mobility in the dumpster. Waiting for him to come home and take care of me.

Now, I am walking more and faster than I was pre-GD diagnosis. I cook dinner every night which was never a habit I had previously. I don’t come home and turn into a slug on the couch after work. I grocery shop in a timely manner instead of sustaining on PB&Js and cereal for days while I procrastinate. I am eating more vegetables every day than I ever have previously. I do the dishes and load the dishwasher during my active time post-dinner and run a half load every night. I unload it every morning. GD has provided the kick towards a healthy, balanced lifestyle that I needed. I have developed some really good habits because of it.

Would love to hear the non-blood sugar benefits that you all have experienced too.
