Steam Next Fest ends in 2 days - which games are you liking best?
I’ve tried a couple dozen demo's the past 5 days, here’s the ones I want to keep playing:
EDIT: Special shout-out to Kero Quest 64 which I played weeks after this ended. As its name suggests it’s a Mario 64-esque 3D platformer. The movement is straight from 64/Galaxy but the level design is entirely its own and surprisingly great. Would’ve been my number 2.
- Wheel World - Cell-shaded charming arcade-y cycling exploration/race game
- Lost in Random: The Eternal Die - The best Hades-like I’ve played, with a gorgeous gothic world
- Moadra - Metroid Dread meets the movie Alien. Introduced Metroid Prime-scanning in a 2D Metroid. I thought they nailed the mood, but I did get stuck a few times.
- Promise Mascot Agency - Zany open-world driving / management game with hilarious dialogue
- Kiborg - Very fast-paced 3rd person action roguelike
- Advent Neon - Turns out adding a dodge-dash that slows down time along with smash-like combat to Sonic is a good idea
- Deliver At All Costs - 1959 Americana GTA-like physics delivery game. With very good vibes and great music
- Fumes - Open-world low poly Twisted Metal meets Mad Max. Extremely confusing UI / progression though, IMO
Obviously there's way too many demo's to sort through, so let's spread the word: what are your favourite demo's and why?
EDIT: Added Moadra which I thought was fantastic.
