Why did Samsung remove the Smart Select edge panel in the last update?

I'm wondering why Samsung removed the Smart Select edge panel in the last update.

Am I the only one seriously disappointed?

That was the edge panel I used the most and in my opinion the most useful. It allowed me to take precise screenshots of what I needed, letting me crop and cut directly on the screen before capturing the image.

The new smart select function is not even remotely as useful.

I get adding new features, but removing good old ones... Why?
