First Build (be gentle ha ha ha!)

I recently, after many years of saving, reading, and slaving away for the man, decided to build my first PC.

Below are the specs as well as my question for troubleshooting.

Fractal North XL case
MSI Mag X670E Tomahawk
Ryzen 9 7950X3D
ASUS TUF RTX 4090
G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 2x32GB
WD SN850X 4TB
LianLi GA II 360mm AIO
Seasonic GX-1000 Gold PSU

This problem has persisted since the 2nd time I attempted to turn on my machine.

Starting my machine the 1st time after installing, plugging in and turning on the PSU worked flawlessly. After I shut it down, the subsequent restarts require me to turn off the PSU and/or disconnect power to the PSU and then plug it back in so that the power button works on the case.

To be transparent and add context, I originally had a NZXT 1200 Gold PSU (came with 12VHPWR cable) which I had to return because the cable was faulty, resulting in the swap to the Seasonic PSU, which immediately worked flawlessly and provided the GPU adequate power.

I checked the power button wires on the MB. Disconnected them and then reconnected them. Same result. Anyone able to offer this rookie some relevant and helpful suggestions as to why the power button is acting like this? TIA!
