Flying for the first time out of Indianapolis… what do I do?
I’m flying for the first time to Louisiana (LCH) from Indianapolis. I’ve never flown before, and I’m going by myself. I have severe anxiety so I have a few questions:
What lot do I park my car in? I know you have to pay per day. Are there shuttles from that parking lot to the “main area”?
Can I get my boarding pass strictly off of my airline’s website, then just go straight to security? Apparently you can get your pass 24 hours before the flight, so should I do that? If so, can I put it in my apple wallet to use later?
At security, what exactly do I do? I believe there are two security areas, each leading to a different concourse. Do I just go to the one for my concourse?
Once I’m in the security line, what do I need to remove from my bag/person? Phone? Laptop? Belt? Shoes? Wallet?
I’ve heard about this thing called carry on and personal bags. I have a small suitcase and a book bag. Is that fine to carry onto the plane?
My flight has a layover in Texas. Do I need to go through security again once I get to Texas, or should I just stay in the area and go to the appropriate gate?
Thanks!!
EDIT: 7. I have prescription drugs. Can I bring those in a plastic bag?
- I also want to bring deodorant or cologne. Can I do that?
