Colonization time limits?

I know there is a 24-hour time limit required to deploy your beacon, but I haven't been able to find what the time limit is for delivering all your materials for your first outpost. the official Frontier page just says "a fixed amount of time" and none of the guides I have watched / read anywhere have mentioned it. I am concerned that I will lose out on my investment after I choose a system - does anyone know what the time limit for building your first facility actually is?
