Digitakt vs Rytm Mk2 for sound design?

Sorry for yet another Digitakt vs Rytm thread, and I think I already know the answer to this, but which of the two of these do you think has the better sound design capabilities - not more complex necessarily, but better, especially from a base sound/synthesis perspective?

Without having either immediately accessible, I’ve watched videos that dive into the sequencing and sampling in both, but not a ton on the raw, innate sound of the two machines. Am I wrong in the thinking that Digitakt is meant to work more with samples and the Rytm more with synth/sound design?
