LöfLife weekly waivers GW27 - Late one
Hey!
Follow me on X u/peter_lof for Draft updates.
We’re back already, waivers are in 1.5 hours!
Some hits and one big miss last game week: Collins, Ajer, Minteh, Neto, and Beto all picked up points.
Zabarnyi’s red card... yeah, sorry about that I had him to.
Heading straight into the new game week, we start planning for Blank GW29 next week.
Goalkeepers
Nick Pope (NEW) – vs. Liverpool
He’s back and started against Forest. Not a great fixture this week, but some decent ones are coming up.
Defenders
Reece James (CHE) – vs. Southampton
Played CDM against Aston Villa, which didn’t work out great. But Gusto was even worse, so I expect Reece to start in some position.
Against one of the worst teams in the league, I’m really happy with him this GW, even if it feels like an eternity since he bombed down the flank and scored.
Ben White (ARS) – vs. Nottingham Forest
Last time I’ll include him here. He didn’t start against West Ham, but Lewis-Skelly’s suspension should get him back in the XI, with Timber likely shifting to LB.
If he keeps his spot, he’s got huge upside. This game will be tough, though. Forest have parked the bus and countered successfully against the big teams before.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (WHU) – vs. Leicester
Impressive win against Arsenal. Now up against an absolutely hopeless Leicester side that has scored just once in their last six games.
Tosin Adarabioyo / Levi Colwill (CHE) – vs. Southampton
Against Southampton, I’m even willing to start my Chelsea CBs. Toss-up between these two, with very similar stats.
Midfielders
Eberechi Eze (CRY) – vs. Aston Villa
Two straight bench appearances before starting against Fulham might have led some to drop him. Check if he’s available.
Palace have Ipswich and Southampton next but do blank in GW29.
I think they take this one against Villa. I expected Villa to struggle after their busy schedule, but they managed a late winner against Chelsea but this one will be tougher.
Mohammed Kudus (WHU) – vs. Leicester
Underwhelming season overall, but I’ve seen improvements in the last few games.
Also, I’d gladly start any decent attacking player against Leicester.
Pedro Neto (CHE) – vs. Southampton
Keeping him here another week. Decent performance against Villa, with the highest xGI among Chelsea players. Should get another shot.
Southampton are hopeless, could’ve conceded even more than four against Brighton. Finally a big Chelsea win incoming?
Brennan Johnson (TOT) – vs. Man City
Spurs have City’s number, even beating them before their slump.
Last week, I went back and forth on Johnson, thinking Maddison would start. Johnson got the nod instead and bagged two goals.
He’s a Jota-type player, you don’t really notice him until he scores. He’s got to start again, right?
Marshall Munetsi (WOL) – vs. Fulham
Crazy fun pick of the week goes to wolves new cult hero?, the CB and CDM who played OOP on top in some weird front three against Bournemouth, played 90 minutes, was everywhere, missed a huge chance and grabbed an assist. Wolves have had three solid performances against Villa, Liverpool, and Bournemouth, they should be have a good shot here.
Forwards
Evanilson (BOU) – vs. Brighton
Big surprise, back on the bench against Wolves. Still not ready to start, but worth picking up as a third striker option.
There’s a 12-day break between Brighton and Spurs, giving him time to build fitness. Bournemouth also have a decent home fixture against Brentford in Blank GW29.
Dominik Solanke (TOT) – Nope
Another option, probably back very soon, targeting GW28, according to Ange.
Joshua Zirkzee (MUN) – vs. Ipswich
If you want one playing this week
I was convinced United would lose against Everton. At 70 minutes, they had 0 shots on target—but they managed to turn it around and salvage a point.
Now they face the only team yet to win in 2025. Still not sure they’ll win, but they will score, and Zirkzee has looked much better in the last two games.
Good luck!
