Am I stupid

Hello. I just started playing this game and I'll admit it's the first game of it's kind that I play. Big fan of the artstyle and i gradually went from there.

It's very dense. Does anyone feel like that? Like, when they play it?
At a certain point i just started to get brain fog and ignore key dialogue and i felt so guilty and cruel and I didn't want to put the game down either. Am i dumb? Is this a thing that happens or am I slowly getting drained by my zoomer attention span? Is there any way to romance the asian guy?
