Why is finding Dregs a necessary part of certain contracts?

It's completely RNG and killing 750 of them in one mission is almost impossible. I've been searching for a mission that has dregs for two days now and I've only found one. Time to complete the contract is almost over. Why is there no symbol or line of text that designates a mission as one containing dregs?
