Crate "Training" your dog is lazy training for lazy people.

Dogs chew on things? Train them not to. Dogs go to the bathroom in the house? Train them not to. If your dog needs a safe place, let them find it inside the house and accommodate them.

Sticking your new family member in a "prison" for most of the day because you're too lazy to properly train or pay attention to them is both cruel and unnecessary. You people and your crates—and so-called "crate training"—can take your crates and throw them in the dump where trash belongs. I see it as no better than chaining them to a post or a doghouse in the backyard.
