Why does my husband keep asking if I’m attracted to him?

I call my husband my handsome man daily. I ask for kisses, get hugs and cuddle. Today while the kids were at school, we were intimate for about an hour. 20 minutes of that I did my best job choking on sausage. My intentions were very clear. Lying in bed tonight, he asks if I'm still attracted to him. I work full time, but cook dinner most of the time for everyone. I tell him he's handsome. We have been together 7years, I've never been unfaithful. We don't have a slow sex life. Why is he asking me this so often? I reassure him every time, but it's starting to get on my nerves tbh.

I have asked him he only says his brain I mean and won't elaborate. He sees a doctor for his mental health struggles and we do talk about them as much as he is willing.

Yes I am attracted to him. We are both 27. I think it is possibly the beginning of him showing age that is bothering him. But it makes me feel insufficient about my efforts to prove to him how I feel.
