How to get people to respect you at work?

I work in an office, I'm a good employee and my supervisor is very happy with my performance.

Thing is, I feel like no one in the office respects me.

I'm 28M, tall and buff and apparently come off as intimidating so I feel like I've developed a very self deprecating humor as a way of making people comfortable around me and at ease.

I feel like I took it too far and for too long with these self deprecating jokes that now other people feel comfortable to make the same kind of jokes about me. I can't tell if I'm being too sensitive as I joke the same way with other coworkers or if they are making fun of me in a subtle way (I also suspect having autism which makes reading people a bit difficult).

How do I gain the respect back and letting people know I'm not just a doormat in a nice way?
