Second switch loop for second light
I have a junction box in my bathroom that has a switch loop for the light. I’d like to install a second switch for a second light. I was going to send the white down hot to the switch and black up to the box then jump from the box to the new light attaching the white neutral back to the neutrals in the box. My wiring is old bx cable with paper sheath no ground. Is this a risk to the circuit? This junction box sends power down the line to other outlets. I only have basic electrical knowledge I understand switch loops are against code I just wanted a few options. Am I better off just running both lights off the same switch and calling it a day. Thanks for your time.
