Why do people defend default lean binds are just as good as thumb leaving??
Not sure why some streamers are saying q and e default leans are just as good as thumb leaning. Watched streamers over a couple weeks, whenever it comes up, that q and e are just as good as mouse buttons/space lalt/v and c/reverse q and e. Now each have their advantages and disadvantages, but all these latter methods are more intuitive than default binds for fast peeking. Imagine slicing a pie on a door that you need to clear all the way to the left hand corner of the room, using right hand peek. You need to be able to move diagonal (w+d) and jiggle lean hold all the way to the end of the 90 degree angle. Using default binds, this is simply the slowest method to achieve this movement. Any other method will be faster, and arguing this seems super in denial to me. I am not saying q and e are bad, it's just that every other method is faster for this common maneuver.
You can argue that mouse leaning can throw off your aim, reversing q and e is slower when you want to retreat (pressing a in the right hand q lean example), or space and alt are hard to learn, but you cannot argue that they are slower or just as fast as default binds. Or maybe I am just going crazy or the rest of the professional FPS/abso chads in this genre are wrong as well.
