Wtf is growing on my lid

I saw a strange reflection in the water which is how I discovered this growth. The water never touches the lid. Does anyone know what this could be? I’ve had no luck with google. We lost an assassin snail 3 days after getting him and haven’t seen him since.. it’s been weeks. You think it could be under the main bubble??? I’m scared to look 🫣
