Constant hypnic jerks and nocturnal panic attacks
I try to sleep at around 3am everyday which sometimes ends up being an hour or so later. The weather has been dark, gloomy, and pouring rain the last few days which I’m hoping is the cause for all of this. This week, I have been waking up an hour into my sleep with a weird, indescribable feeling. My whole body feels itchy internally and just immensely uncomfortable to be in my own skin. I hate the feeling so much and I usually fall asleep a few minutes after. Today I took a nap at and I kid you not… I had around 8 Hypnic jerks until I woke up. It was a 3 hour disturbed nap that was so bad. All the body jerks were intense; one was me biting my teeth down very loud, another one was my leg flailing all the way up, and the other ones were my body and head just jolting awake. Please if you know why this is happening, I would like your help and advice. I have also been waking up confused with weird scenarios in my head and just very tired.
