Questions about "time travelling" thoughts and opinions please!

So I've skipped 2 or 3 days in the game so far, mainly because I felt I had completely worn out my towns resources and "quests". I'm wondering what people generally think of doing this, kinda feels dirty tbh xD

I guess my main question is this: If you play more than an hour or two a day and you are in the situation where u can't really do anything new, what do you do? Just fish? Or am I missing some outlets... (Haven't played AC since Wild World)
