Kurdish freedom fighters work with Iranian freedom fighters to liberate the middle east. After a lot of shenanigans, Alaska and California fall under Soviet rule. Nationalists start uprisings in Texas, leading to independence. The war ends after the battle of Moscow. The reason why I put turkey as affected is because they stayed communist.
