Choosing between Coway and Levoit

I’m a newbie to air purifiers. Currently living in a desert, city, with a dog, and lots of dust (800-900sqft) so I wanted to invest in an air purifier under $200. From everything I’ve read here, both Coway and Leviot seem like good brands. Leviot is apparently not HEPA, but is HEPA-grade, so I guess that’s fine.

I’m a little curious about the ionizing though. The Coway Airmega AP-1512HH(W) does have an ionizer, but I’m wondering if anyone has experience with it, if I leave it on “auto” will this turn on automatically every time air quality drops? I don’t want to have any ozone, I have enough in the dusty city.

Also looking at the Leviot Vital 200S-P — does this one ionize? Same concerns here.

I’m super new to this but really need a solution since my lungs are on fire, any and all recommendations would be appreciated.
