Spring 2025 Graduate Job Search Results
Hi everyone, just thought I'd share the results from my fall job search as a senior. I'm on track to graduate in May with 150. At the beginning I was unsure if I was going to get any offers so I'm quite relieved to be done now.
I have a 3.5/3.7 overall/accounting GPA and haven't had an internship yet. I go to a large state school with a strong business program, but it's not top tier for business undergrad.
My offers were: Top 10 tax, MCOL, 75k, accepted Regional Audit, MCOL, 63k, declined Regional Tax, MCOL, internship, accepted
Every firm I applied to was at an accounting specific recruitment event for seniors and MAC students hosted by my university so I spoke to all of their recruiters prior to applying.
The full-time offer I accepted was actually in a different state. My brother's wife is in her second year as a tax associate there and she gave the recruiter my resume and email.
I wasn't looking for an internship, but that firm only hires new grads that have interned with them. Figured I may as well get paid, credit, and a little training before I start full time.
I start full time in September. I plan to pass the CPA exam in the window between graduating and starting because there is a larger bonus if I'm done before starting.
