UPDATED Reactor Armor Testing

On the first post I made about this armor set, I was testing the speed boost the armor gives based on how many irradiated items in your character's inventory. I came to the partly false conclusion that a single piece of leyak essence gives you the max speed boost provided by the set.

Based on a comment on my previous post mentioning that the speed boost seemed to persist after removing irradiated items from the player's inventory. I ran some tests based on the amount of radiation my character was suffering, and not the amount of items I was carrying.

The results demonstrated that both passives are based fully on your character's radiation level and not the radiation level of the items you are carrying. I also looked into the radiation sickness mechanics in the game and devised a setup that should allow you to maximize the buff from the armor without constantly throwing up.

To start, the game tracks how irradiated using points, when you accumulate more than 35, your character gets radiation poisoning and starts to throw up. Throwing up decreases the count by 5, and consuming items like iodine pills or the green fish liver decrease it by 10. Since the buff is based on how many points you have, you want very low incoming radiation, but a high value stored on your character.

The best way to achieve this is to use a single piece of meat that is stated to emit very low radiation (I am going to use raw pest for this example), and artificially increase your radiation level by standing near irradiated material. Assuming you took iodine pills right before your character was about to throw up, you should have a rad level of about 25 (or 30 if you just let your character throw up). A piece of raw pest emits 0.005 rad/s. As a result it will take 30min (or 15 respectively) for your character to build up enough rads to want to throw up again. Using the pills, the buff is at least 71% of its maximum value at all times without requiring you to constantly throw up or take pills.

tl;dr: I ran some tests that invalidatr my first post. The way to get the most out of the armor is to artificially increase your rad levels, and carry a piece of kizz cola(or anything stated to emit extremely low radiation) to maintain those levels for as long as possible

Note 1: I forgot about the existence of kizz cola until after I wrote this post. It emits the same amout of radiation as raw pest but doesn't decay, so it's the best option to go with.

Note 2: Radiation resistance also seems to cap at about 90%, and the pills give you a 50% resistance, so there is no need to carry a neutrino lantern with the armor (which is what I was doing).
